Found a trick to fix squeaky bottom brackets without pulling the crank

I had a customer's bike come in last week with a maddening creak every pedal stroke. After chasing it with grease and torque wrenches, I finally used a thin feeler gauge to slide between the crank arm and the frame near the BB shell. A tiny rock was wedged in there causing the noise, and pulling it out took 10 seconds. Has anyone else found random debris hiding in weird spots like that?

Haha oh man I've been there way too many times. A tiny pebble in the wrong spot can drive you absolutely nuts.

And @claire999, tell me about it, I once spent an hour digging a piece of gravel out of my shoe on a hike.
