Serious question, did recapping my Model M with new foam actually change the feel, or am I fooling myself?
I swapped the 30 year old foam in my '91 Model M last week and the keys feel tighter and less rattly to me now, but my buddy typed on it and said it feels the same as before. Is a foam recap a real fix or just something we tell ourselves so we can open the case again, and what else should I try if it's the latter?

Foam affects sound more than feel, so you're both right and just hearing different things.
