Vent: That $200 clipper I bought from a random Instagram ad was garbage

Lasted me exactly two haircuts before the motor started making a grinding noise... then it just died mid-fade on a Thursday. Anyone else get burned by those tool ads popping up on your feed?

Bought a $150 trimmer off one of those Instagram ads last year, some brand called "BeardKing" or something. First use was fine, second use the battery caught fire while it was charging, scared the heck out of my cat. I learned my lesson the hard way, now I only buy clippers from actual barber supply stores or trusted brands I can find at Target. It stinks when you think you're saving money but all you get is a pile of plastic and a bad haircut. Guess we both paid the "impulse buy tax" on that one.
