Tried a straight razor on myself for the first time in 15 years of cutting hair
I've been fading and scissor cutting for 15 years but always told folks I don't do straight razor shaves, then last month in my shop here in Amarillo I finally tried one on myself for practice. Took me 40 minutes and I nicked my jaw twice, but the shave itself was smoother than any cartridge I've touched since barber school. Any of you old heads got tips on holding the angle steady around the chin, or do I just need to eat the nicks for another few months?
