Thought hot towel machines were a gimmick until a guy in Baltimore paid me $40 for one
I ran a two chair shop for 9 years and always figured a hot towel setup was just fancy add on stuff that didn't earn its keep. Then last month a walk in at my new spot on Eastern Ave asked for one, I borrowed a steamer from the shop next door, and he handed me a $40 tip on a $25 cut and booked his kid's wedding party with me. Anybody else got a small add on that actually pulled its weight like that?
