Switched to a ceramic blade for my clippers about three months back and the difference in how clean my fades look is huge.
The old steel blade would pull a bit on thick hair, but the ceramic one glides right through and leaves a much sharper line, so has anyone else made a switch like that and noticed a change?

Tried ceramic once. Found it chipped way too easy on coarse coats. Went back to good steel, just keep it sharp.

Yeah, the chipping thing is what I've heard too. Read a review that said ceramics just can't handle the lateral force on thick hair. Steel might dull faster, but it's way more forgiving.
