Switched from a cordless trimmer to a corded Wahl and I'll never go back for bulk work
So for about 8 months I was doing all my bulk removal with a cordless trimmer because the freedom of no cord felt great, and I figured the power trade off was worth it. Last Saturday I had a walk in with hair down past his shoulders and it took me almost 40 minutes just to get through the bulk because the trimmer kept bogging down in the thick spots. My corded Wahl was sitting right there on the counter so on my next guy, who also had heavy growth, I grabbed it instead and the whole cut was done in 22 minutes flat. The motor just does not slow down no matter what you push it through, and I didn't realize how much I was fighting my cordless until I actually timed both. I still keep the cordless for line work and beard touch ups around the ears and neck because the smaller head gets in tight spots easier. But for anything with real length or density, the corded clipper saves me so much time it's not even a discussion. I honestly think the cordless hype made me lazy about matching the tool to the job. Anyone else keep both on the station and split them up by task, or am I just late to figuring this out?
