Straight razor versus safety razor for my own face, the old learning curve bit me

After 3 months of nicks and a razor burn that looked like a rash, I switched back to my safety razor for daily shaves and only break out the straight for special clients, anyone else give up on the fancy tool for practicality?

Special clients"? You shave faces for a living and you're out here treating a razor like it's some kind of sacred ritual. Just use the safety razor and move on, it's not that deep.
