Spent $300 on a fancy clipper that died in 6 months

I bought one of those high end cordless clippers from a big name brand back in March, thought I was treating myself. By September the battery wouldn't hold a charge for a single haircut, wouldn't even last through one head. Customer service told me warranty only covers 90 days on batteries, basically told me tough luck. Has anyone else had that problem with premium clippers or did I just get a lemon?

That's such a bummer, especially for that price. Seems like a lot of the 'pro' stuff these days has cheap batteries that just don't hold up.

My old Canon PowerShot from 2011 still holds a charge for weeks, but my newer Fuji X100V dies after like 200 shots. It drives me nuts how they cram in all these features but cheap out on the thing that actually makes the camera work. You think for $1,600 they could spring for a decent lithium ion pack instead of whatever $3 cell they sourced from who knows where. I honestly feel like they do it on purpose so you'll buy their overpriced spare batteries. It's a total racket if you ask me.
