My favorite clipper blade snapped in the middle of a haircut yesterday

I was doing a fade on a regular client around 3 PM when my trusty Wahl Senior blade just cracked right down the middle mid-stroke. Had to switch to a backup blade that wasn't sharpened right, and the cut came out uneven. Anyone else had a blade fail on them like that, or was it just bad luck with mine?

Honestly that "trusty Wahl Senior blade just cracked" part hits hard because I've had the same thing happen with mine. Those blades are supposed to be workhorses but sometimes you just get a dud that fails at the worst moment. Ngl it messes up your whole flow when the backup blade isn't dialed in.

That "dud that fails at the worst moment" is exactly what got me too, @the_sam. I read somewhere that some batches of those blades have inconsistent hardening from the factory, which explains why one lasts forever and another just gives up.
