I used to think a cheap spray bottle was fine until my mentor proved me wrong

My mentor, a guy named Carl who ran a shop in Cincinnati for 20 years, always told me to invest in a good, professional spray bottle for water. I mean, I thought he was nuts, idk, I was just using a $3 one from the big box store. He said the cheap ones spray too hard and unevenly, which messes with how hair lays when you're cutting. I finally listened after a client's fade kept looking choppy no matter what I did. I bought the bottle he suggested, the one with the fine mist setting, and it was like night and day. The hair just stays where you want it, and you don't get those weird wet spots. It's a small thing, but it totally changed my control. Has anyone else had a simple tool upgrade make that big of a difference?

Okay but come on, a spray bottle is a spray bottle. It shoots water. I get that a bad one might spurt, but saying it changed your whole cut feels like a stretch. My cheap one from the beauty supply store works fine, I just point it away and do a test spray first.
