How I stopped my hands from hurting after haircuts
I learned a few simple hand moves from a buddy who fixes sore muscles. Spending just two minutes on finger pulls and wrist rolls between clients cut down my pain big time. My grip got stronger and I don't shake as much with the clippers anymore. Has anyone else tried stuff like this?

My fingers cramp up so bad during haircuts that I've accidentally given a few people the "surprised eyebrow" look when my hand seizes mid-trim. Tried that finger tap thing during a slow moment with a client who was on their phone, and they just stared at me like I was summoning a demon. But honestly it works way better than the stress ball I keep losing under my chair. Between the wrist rolls and pretending I'm a concert pianist for thirty seconds, my hands don't feel like they're made of concrete anymore.

Which move helps the most with the shaking? I've had similar issues with fine detail work. Your tip about two minutes between clients sounds easy to fit in.

Back in my first year, I swore by hand grips for stopping the shakes. I used to think they were the only thing that worked... but then I tried the finger tap drill and it changed everything. Honestly, @the_julia, that drill does more for steady hands than any gadget I've bought. It's just tapping each finger to your thumb rapidly for thirty seconds. Combining it with the two-minute break between clients makes a huge difference... you get the blood flowing without rushing.
