Did my first full hot towel shave on a client yesterday and it clicked

I was at a barber meetup in Nashville and watched a retired barber do a straight razor shave with steamed towels, so I tried it on my regular Mike yesterday. He tipped me $15 extra and said his face felt brand new, has anyone else seen more clients asking for classic shaves lately?

My buddy runs a shop over in Memphis and he told me last month that he's had three guys in their 20s come in asking for the full hot towel treatment. One of them was a groomsman for a wedding and wanted the whole works before the ceremony. He said his younger clients are getting into it because they see it on Instagram or TikTok, like some kind of old school revival thing. Makes sense to me, people want that luxury feel you just can't get from a cartridge razor at home. Your Mike sounds like he appreciated the craftsmanship, that's a good sign. Have you noticed any younger walk-ins asking about it or is it still mostly your regulars?
