Clipper vs. straight razor for bald fades - which side are you on?
Honestly, I been doing this five years and always used clippers for bald fades. But my buddy swears by straight razor for that super clean look and says clippers leave a shadow. I tried the razor last week on a regular and the skin was smooth as anything but it took me twice as long and I nicked his ear. Which do you guys lean toward for a clean bald fade that saves time?

Used both for years and here's the thing - clippers get you 90% there, that razor gets that last 10% but it costs you time and blood if you're not careful. For a regular who comes every week, the razor is worth it because that smooth fade keeps them coming back. But for walk-ins or lunch rush guys, stick with clippers and use a foil shaver to clean up the edges, gets close without the risk. I keep a straight razor on deck for the bald top part only and use clippers for the fade lines, saves me 15 minutes a cut.

...you're really making it that deep? It's hair man. If they're coming back for a $20 cut every two weeks you're fine with clippers. I only break out the straight razor if they specifically ask and tip well.
