Bought a $400 barber chair and it was a total waste of money

I thought a fancy hydraulic chair was a must-have for my new shop. Spent about four hundred bucks on a shiny one from an online ad. The thing started squeaking after two months, and the lift got stuck halfway up last week. My old, basic chair from a garage sale never gave me any trouble. I'm going back to simple and sturdy. Has anyone else had a chair fall apart that fast?
