That vertical wall rack I ordered on a whim actually solved my carnivorous plant overcrowding issue on the balcony.
I was super skeptical about those plastic grid systems since they looked kinda flimsy, but after 3 months of rain and wind in Seattle, my drosera and sarracenia are thriving without taking up any floor space has anyone else tried hanging setups for fussy plants?

Oh man, that's awesome! I feel you on the skepticism - I bought one of those hanging shoe organizers once and it collapsed under the weight of like three pairs of sneakers. So I totally get the hesitation. But I'm glad yours actually worked out, because my balcony situation is getting out of control too. I've got like 15 pots crammed into a space meant for 5, and my succulents keep elbowing each other for sunlight. Maybe I should give one of those grid racks a shot, even though my track record with 'flimsy' stuff is rough. Fingers crossed mine doesn't end up as a tangled mess on the ground, lol.

Wait, 15 pots on a balcony meant for 5? How are you even walking out there without knocking something over? I don't mean to sound dramatic, but that's a level of chaos I can't even imagine. My track record with flimsy stuff is basically the same as yours, so I get the hesitation. In my experience, those grid racks either hold up for years or just give up on life overnight. Maybe try one of the metal ones instead of the plastic, since I've seen those dent but not totally collapse. Keep us posted though, I'm curious if it works out for your succulent army.
