That neighbor's advice about overcrowding pots nearly killed my tomatoes
My upstairs neighbor told me I could pack 4 tomato plants in one 14 inch pot and they'd be fine. I believed him because his balcony looked lush. Within 3 weeks the leaves started yellowing and two plants wilted completely. Had to yank them out and now I'm down to 2 plants in that pot which is barely enough space. Anyone else get bad advice from someone who seemed experienced?

I gave each tomato its own 5 gallon bucket, problem solved.
