Tbh, my balcony basil plant started growing through the railings into the next apartment.
My neighbor asked if I was sharing herbs by airmail.

See it more like the plant just doing its own thing, not you sharing on purpose. Plants grow where they want, they don't really get property lines. Your neighbor gets free basil without asking, that's just nature being messy. Kind of funny when you don't plan for it, but it's not really a gift you meant to send.

Notice how this plant thing mirrors lots of unplanned events. You set up one thing but life adds its own twist. That's why I roll with the surprises now.

Totally get that, it's all about the neighbor's reaction for me. If they're cool and joke about airmail, it becomes a funny story instead of a problem. That shared laugh is the actual gift, not the basil. Without that, it's just a plant being a pest. Their good humor is what makes the whole thing work.
