My neighbor saw my 6 tomato plants on a 4 foot balcony and asked why I bother
She caught me watering them on Tuesday and said I should just buy tomatoes at the store since my little setup will never give me a real harvest. I almost agreed, then counted 14 tomatoes ripening on just two of the plants. That balcony gets maybe 5 hours of sun a day and they still produce more than my wife and I can eat. She has a whole yard but zero plants, so who's really wasting space here? Curious if anyone else gets these comments from people with way more room than you.
