DAE check their balcony pots after a windstorm before they even check their own hair?
We got hit with 45 mph gusts on Tuesday night here in Cincinnati and I barely slept. At 6am I ran out in my robe to check my 9 pots and every single pepper plant got topped, snapped clean off. My basil was face down on the concrete and the cherry tomato cage was bent into a triangle. The weird part is my little $4 digital timer for the drip line survived fine while stuff I babied since March got wrecked. I spent 2 hours staking and taping stems with painter's tape and honestly three of them look okay now. The thing I keep thinking about is that I stood there for a minute just staring at the mess before I did anything. How far out do you all start hardening off balcony plants when spring storms like this are still rolling through?
