Changed my whole setup after a trip to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden

I was at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden last Saturday and saw this tiny balcony display they had with a vertical trellis made from an old ladder. I always thought my balcony was way too cramped for any real plant setup. But seeing how they packed like 12 pots on that thing made me realize I was just using my space totally wrong. So I grabbed a cheap wooden ladder from a thrift store in Bushwick and now I got herbs and strawberries growing up the wall instead of taking up floor space. Has anyone else tried a weird vertical setup that actually worked?

Wait is that why I've been seeing old ladders and pallets turned into planters all over Instagram lately? It's funny how one tiny space hack can totally change how you look at everything in your apartment.
