Frozen butter hack saved my pie crust last night

I was rushing a double batch of pie dough for Thanksgiving and my butter got too warm in the kitchen. Threw a stick in the freezer for 15 minutes then grated it straight into the flour with a box grater, and the crust came out flakier than my usual method. Has anyone else tried grating frozen butter instead of cutting it in?

never looked back" really? I tried it and looked back like a hundred times lol. Ended up switching back cause it just didn't work for my setup at all. Maybe I'm the odd one out but I don't get the hype.
