For years I creamed butter and sugar in the wrong order

I always added the eggs first before the sugar was fully mixed in. My cookies turned out flat every time until my sister watched me and pointed it out last month. Did anyone else have a basic step they just got backwards?

Holy crap, eggs first? That's wild. I've never heard of anyone doing that. You must have been so frustrated for years wondering why your cookies came out like frisbees. I mean, you gotta cream the butter and sugar until it's light and fluffy before anything else gets in there. That's like baking 101. Glad your sister caught it though, now you can actually enjoy some decent cookies.

Read somewhere that melted butter works better for chewy cookies anyway.
