Spent $120 on a fancy Danish dough whisk that does the same thing as my $4 wooden spoon

Bought that stainless steel whisk with the spiral handle from the fancy kitchen store last month and after three batches of brioche I realized my grandma's old spoon mixes just as well and doesn't leave my hand cramping, anyone else fall for the trendy tool trap?

Yeah but your grandma's spoon probably won't scrape the sides of the bowl as well as that whisk does though.
