My sourdough starter took three weeks to really get going

I followed a guide that said it would be active in 7 days, but mine just sat there looking sad. It finally took off after I moved it to a warmer spot on top of my fridge. What's the longest you've had to wait for a starter?

What temperature was your kitchen before you moved it?

Wait, you can just move a whole kitchen? @caseyrivera, are we talking about taking out the fridge or like, picking up the entire room and putting it somewhere else? My kitchen is stuck at "way too hot when the oven's on" and "freezing when the AC blows right in." The idea of it having a single temperature to even measure is wild to me.
