My old measuring cups were off by almost 20 grams of flour, which explains why my last batch spread into one giant sheet. A good scale is the only way to get consistent results. I keep mine right on the counter so I actually use it. Do you weigh your butter and sugar too, or just the dry stuff?

Totally agree, I weigh everything that goes in the bowl now. It feels extra at first, but even liquids like milk are more accurate by weight. That's the real secret to nailing a recipe every single time.
