Went to a farm tour in Ohio, saw way too many roosters in one pen
Stopped by a hobby farm outside Columbus last weekend and counted 14 roosters packed into a 10x10 run. They were all scrawny and beat up, feathers missing everywhere. Why do people think that's okay when you can rehome or process extras for $5 at the local auction?

Too many roosters in one pen" is an understatement, that's a feathery prison fight club. $5 at the auction beats a slow miserable pecking death every single time. Folks just don't want to deal with the hassle, I guess.
