Hit 50 eggs in one week from 6 hens and nearly lost my mind

I was out collecting eggs last Tuesday and counted 8 in one day from my 6 Rhode Island Reds. By Sunday I had 52 eggs sitting in my fridge and no idea what to do with them. My neighbor in Des Moines said I should sell them but I don't have time for that. Has anyone else had a sudden egg surplus that forced you to get creative with recipes?

Keeping them in a cool dry place not the fridge is the real game changer. My grandma used to store eggs in a basement pantry for weeks and they were fine. You can also crack a dozen into a mason jar and freeze them for baking later, just label the jar. Another trick I learned from a homesteading forum was making egg powder with a dehydrator if you have one. But seriously, 8 eggs from 6 Reds is wild though, those birds must be eating like queens.

Respectfully, I've got to disagree on the cool dry place thing. In my experience, farm fresh eggs have that natural bloom, sure, but modern store eggs are washed and way more porous, so they actually last longer in the fridge. Your mileage may vary but I've had too many go bad on the counter to risk it.
