That 8 year old backpacking route in the Sierras I used to love is barely passable now.

I hiked the Rae Lakes Loop again last month after skipping it since 2016, and the trail was washed out in at least six sections from all the storms, has anyone else seen their old favorite routes change that fast?

Yeah, it's wild. Feels like the same thing is happening to everything, not just trails. I noticed my regular fishing spot on the Kern River got totally reshaped after one bad winter, the whole bank just caved in. Makes you think nothing stays the same for long anymore.

Read a report from the Sierra Club that said the 2017 storms alone did more trail damage than the previous 20 years combined... really makes you wonder what the next decade will look like for those routes.
