Everyone says the John Muir Trail is perfect but I got caught in a freak July snowstorm
Was near Bishop Pass last summer. Blue sky turned black in 20 minutes. Got hit with hail, then 3 inches of wet snow. Had to pitch my tent on a slanted rock slab because the ground was soup. Spent a cold, miserable night listening to the wind. Anyone else have the JMT throw a real curveball at them?
