A ranger at Shenandoah told me to quit planning my miles around campsites and it fixed my whole trip
She said on a 40 mile loop through the park, most hikers quit early because they lock into campsites instead of water sources. I switched to planning around the 3 reliable springs on the map and my last trip felt way easier. Anyone else build routes around water instead of mileage?
