That old 737's comm panel went from static to crystal clear after I swapped the coax jumpers

The whole job took maybe 15 minutes, but the pilot said it was like getting a new radio. Anyone else find a simple fix that made a huge difference on the flight line?

like getting a new radio" - yeah, I've had that exact moment with a Cessna 172's audio panel. Swapped out a crusty old headphone jack that was shorting out, and suddenly the pilot could hear ATC clear as day. That one little $5 part made the whole plane feel new again. I've also seen a 20 minute fix where a loose ground wire in the landing light circuit was causing the strobes to flicker. Tightened it up and the whole lighting system worked perfect. Sometimes it's the dumbest little things that drive you crazy until you find them.

Oh man, that's the best feeling. I spent two hours once trying to figure out why a nav light was dim. Turns out the previous guy put the wrong bulb in, a 12-volt instead of 28. Swapped it and it was like a spotlight. Felt so stupid and so smart at the same time.
