Swapped my old Fluke 77 for a Brymen 869 and the difference is night and day on bus troubleshooting

The Fluke would give me ghost readings on the ARINC 429 lines every time, but after 3 tries with the Brymen I finally got clean data has anyone else had that issue with older meters on digital buses?

Yeah I used to think people were just being snobs about meter brands, that a volt meter is a volt meter and you just need to know how to use it right. But after fighting with an old BK Precision on some CAN bus stuff last year I had to eat my words. I finally borrowed a buddy's Gossen and it was like the universe just made sense all of a sudden. So yeah your experience resonates with me hard. I guess there's actual engineering in how these things handle fast digital noise after all.

The Brymen's basically the difference between fishing with a stick and fishing with an actual rod, though I'm the fish that still gets caught by the Fluke 77 half the time.
