PSA: Stop using cheap multimeters on aircraft wire harnesses
I spent 6 hours last week chasing a short in a 737 galley harness using a $20 Fluke knockoff. Switched to a Fluke 117 and found the problem in 15 minutes because the cheap meter couldn't read milliohms right. Has anyone else had a bad experience with budget meters causing more work than they save?

Wait, you're telling me that cheap meter couldn't read milliohms? I always thought a multimeter is a multimeter, but that story just changed my mind.

Oh yeah cheap meters skip milliohm ranges entirely because the components cost more to measure that precisely.
