Old supervisor told me to stop chasing the ground loop... he was right but reckless?

Yeah I used to be all about fixing every ground loop issue I found but after watching a senior guy literally just let one ride and nothing bad happened I started rethinking my whole approach. He was right, sometimes you just gotta let things be.

Has anybody actually tested if that ground loop was even in the audible range for human ears? I've seen people chase hums that were basically just noise on a scope and totally fine for playback.
