My barber's recent question took me back years

Early in my career, telling someone I fix plane electronics usually led to confusion. Now, with all the tech in cars and phones, people nod like they understand. Just last week, my barber asked if I work on drones too. In the hangar, we used to swap stories during slow times. Now it's common to see headphones on. It's just different, not all bad though.

Honestly, that barber question is so relatable. People hear "planes" and their minds just jump to drones now because of all the tech overlap. I get that same thing when I tell someone I work on older cars... they ask if I can fix their Tesla's touchscreen. It's like the world's moved on but our skills are still the same at the core. You're right, it's not all bad, just weird when someone assumes your whole job is different based on what's trendy. Solidarity from someone who also gets those funny, out-of-touch questions.

So did you tell him you only fix the ones that fly?

Wait, is that a real rule? (Because if so, that's hilarious.)
