Got called out on my wire routing in a Cessna 172 last month
My boss said my bundles looked neat but were too tight. He pointed to a spot where the insulation was starting to wear. I started leaving a bit more slack, about a quarter inch, at each clamp. Makes me wonder, what's the biggest mistake you caught yourself making after someone pointed it out?

Honestly that seems like a super minor thing to get called on. Was the insulation actually damaged or just a little shiny?

Look at it this way, a little shiny spot means the outer jacket is worn down. That's the first line of defense gone. I've seen wires where that small rub point, over time, gets worse from vibration or heat cycles. Next thing you know, you've got exposed conductor and a real fire risk. Calling it out early is just good practice, saves a huge headache later.
