Found a stat that says 40% of wiring failures in GA aircraft are from bad terminal crimps

Pulled that from an FAA safety report last night while researching a no-start issue on a C172... blew my mind how lazy some of the crimps looked in the photos. Anyone else double-checking every ring terminal now?

Oh man, did those photos make your eye twitch too? Lol I'm definitely giving every crimp a serious side-eye now.

Honestly, after I saw those photos I went back and checked all my recent installations with a flashlight. Tbh, a lot of them looked fine until I really got close and wiggled the wire a bit. Pro tip: if you can squeeze the crimp and it moves even a millimeter, just redo it now before it causes a headache later. Ngl, saving time in the moment cost me a whole redo on a job once.
