Everyone says pull the whole rack, but I pulled just the one LRU and it worked out fine
My shop swears you have to pull the entire rack to swap a single VHF com unit, but I did it in place last Thursday and the swap took 40 minutes instead of a full shift. The tray locks gave me enough room to slide it out and the new unit tested clean on the ramp. Anyone else doing single LRU swaps on the CRJ or am I asking for trouble down the line?
