A ramp guy at DFW told me he's seen three 737s fly with a deferred APU and I can't stop thinking about it
Last Thursday I was waiting on a pushback at DFW and the ramp lead next to me said he's watched three 737s leave with the APU written up as deferred that month. I've done the MEL drill plenty of times, but hearing it from the ground side made me picture the battery-only start on the other end. It got me wondering if we lean on deferrals a little too easy when the ops tempo gets hot. Curious what the rest of you do when a deferral feels technically legal but a little thin. Do you push back or sign it and move on?
