PSA: My mechanic buddy thinks brake bleeder screws need a torque wrench, and I think he's overthinking it
I was at my buddy Rob's garage in Mesa last Saturday, and he watched me snug down a bleeder screw by feel and said I was asking for a snapped off screw. He pulls out a 1/4 inch torque wrench for every bleeder and swears by it, but I've done hundreds this way on my own truck and never stripped one. Am I the only one who thinks a little German torque (goodntight) is fine here, or has anyone actually snapped one off going by feel?
