My truck broker was late twice, then told me to check the carrier's DOT number
In March I booked a shipping company through a broker to haul my Chevy from Tucson to Denver, and the pickup showed up 9 hours late. After the second delay, the driver finally admitted their carrier wasn't even registered for interstate runs. Has anyone else had better luck calling small carriers directly or do you stick with brokers for the liability coverage?

Check if your own insurance covers freight claims first, that changes which way you book.
