Booked the cheapest carrier for my Tacoma, biggest mistake ever
I shipped my truck from Austin to Denver last spring. Found a quote for like 400 bucks less than everyone else, seemed too good to pass up. That guy showed up 2 days late with a beat up open trailer and no tie-downs that fit my wheels. He tried to blame me for the scratches on the bumper too. Anyone else deal with these budget haulers that just subcontract to whoever is nearby?

Did the broker give you any paperwork showing who was actually hauling it, or was it all just phone calls and texts? Curious if you had any way to check the carrier before they showed up. That two day late thing alone would've had me fuming.
