Why does nobody warn you that a parking lot fender bender turns into a 3 week mess
Last month I backed into a pole in a Target lot in Rochester and cracked my rear bumper cover, so I called my insurer the same afternoon and filed a claim. They gave me a shop 20 miles away that was booked out 9 days, and when I asked about the shop near my place they said using it could cost me extra on the payout. Two sides to this, right? You either take the approved shop and wait, or you fight for the one you trust and maybe eat some of the bill. I ended up waiting it out because I did not want the fight, but my neighbor says I should've pushed harder. What did you do when it was your turn?
