Stripped a lug nut on my Civic and the fix cost me $4 at the hardware store
Tire rotation on my 2013 Civic went bad last Saturday when one lug nut rounded off completely. Tried the usual stuff, soaking it in PB Blaster, hammering a socket on, no luck. Then a guy at the parts counter told me to grab a cheap bolt extractor socket, the kind with the spiral teeth, for four bucks. It bit right into the rounded nut and spun it off in maybe 20 seconds, and I sat there in the driveway just staring at it. Has anyone used these on rusted exhaust bolts or should I not push my luck?
