Why does nobody talk about switching from impact to hand tools on drain work?
I used to grab the impact for everything, even pulling plastic drain traps under sinks. After cracking a 15 year old PVC fitting in a condo outside Cleveland, I went back to a basic ratchet and extensions for all plastic. It takes maybe 2 extra minutes per job, but I've stopped making those $80 callbacks. Has anyone else ditched power tools for specific tasks just to save on redo work?
