Tried a different way to free a seized brake caliper bolt and it actually worked
Honestly, I had a 2012 Civic on the lift with a rear caliper bolt that would not budge. I tried heat and my impact gun, but it was just rounding the head. Out of ideas, I grabbed a bottle of automatic transmission fluid and mixed it 50/50 with acetone like an old timer once told me. I let that soak overnight and hit it with a six point socket and a breaker bar the next morning. Ngl, it came out smooth with almost no fight. Has anyone else used that mix on really stuck fasteners, or is there a better trick now?

Does that acetone mix mess up rubber parts at all?

It depends on the type of rubber. Some seals and o-rings can swell or degrade pretty fast. What specific part are you worried about?
