TIL the new auto parts store on 5th Street has a 'customer service' parrot in the back.
It squawked 'torque spec' at me three times while I was trying to find a thermostat gasket. Anyone else run into something this weird at a supplier?

Ugh, no way... that sounds awful. A loud bird in a store would just stress me out while I'm trying to think. I'd take the arguing guy any day, at least he's human.

Honestly, that beats the usual background radio. At least the parrot is on topic, even if it's not helpful. My local place just has a guy who argues with the delivery drivers all day. A bird yelling about torque specs is a step up in my book. Makes for a better story than staring at another empty parts bin.
