The before and after on my buddy's BMW after 8 months of neglect was brutal

My friend Steve parked his 2005 325i in his garage back in January and just never touched it. Popped the hood last week and the battery terminals looked like they grew a white coral reef. Had to replace the A/C compressor too because the seals dried out from sitting. Anyone else ever deal with a car that just sat too long and turned into a science experiment?

Heard somewhere that modern cars actually need to be driven every few weeks to keep the seals happy.

Dried out seals are a real problem, I've seen them just let go completely in cars that sit for a few months. That battery corrosion is basically a dead giveaway the car is begging to be driven again.
