Rant: Chased an electrical gremlin for 8 hours on a 2012 Ford Focus

I had this 2012 Ford Focus come in with intermittent no-start issues. I swapped the starter, checked the battery, and even replaced the ignition switch before realizing the real culprit was a corroded ground wire behind the fuse box that only showed up on resistance testing after 5 hours. Has anyone else dealt with a Ford ground issue that took forever to find?

Had a Chevy that did the same thing. Hidden ground bolt rusted through.

Is it just me or does it feel like everything we own these days is designed to break in the most annoying, hidden way possible after a few years? Feels like planned obsolescence is just a fact of life now lol.
